Learning how to respond in an emergency can save your child's life!
Who is this class for ...
Expectant and new parents with an infant under 9 months of age.
What to expect ...
This session includes a mix of lecture and skills practice all related to infant CPR and First Aid. There will be one certified instructor per session. The session covers infant CPR, Airway Management techniques and choking for infants (this is a non-certified class). We also allow for a Q&A period to ask any questions you may have.
What to bring …
Socks, please! Most of our classes are in carpeted spaces so footwear is not permitted. Please feel free to wear comfortable clothing & bring a blanket or yoga mat, we will be practicing techniques with infant mannequins on the floor, and we want you to be comfy and worry free. If you would like to take notes, please bring a pen and paper. And finally, lots of questions and a willingness to engage - there are no silly questions in this space!
Extra tidbits ...
Please arrive on time for class as we have a limited 60 minutes to fit everything in. You are welcome to bring along your baby as long as they are not actively crawling yet, most of the class locations are not equipt to handle a busy little one, and we want to ensure everyone is safe.
