Fall Fashion Must-have's with Cotton & Lace Photography

Well, the leaves are starting to turn from green to golden!  As much as some of us love summer, I think there is an unspoken rule that Fall is THE season for pumpkin spice, good books, and most importantly, fashion!  Besides, being pregnant, in this record breaking scorching hot summer, couldn’t have been fun ladies!
This season was super hard to buy for!  I had a personal love for all the lines.  The turtle necks, chunky knits, faux leather leggings with those cute little booties, which I LOVE! 

So I’ll take you on a quick sneak peek of some of my personal favorites! Including a look at our Fall shoot, in Drumheller, with Cotton and Lace Photography (also completely obsessed with these shots)!

The Basics:

Every fall wardrobe needs a cute knit and some amazing leggings!  And the same goes for pregnancy. We are loving this Italian Knit Stripes Tunic by Jules & Jim (made in Canada) with a high waist line and a ton of room to grow!  Pair it with the Blanqi Maternity Support Leggings, which are NOT see through (finally!), high-wasted, and have amazing support for that growing belly!  Style with knee high boots or flats and even add a little leather jacket over top.  Or hit the winter weather with some Uggs in this one!

The Fashionista:

OK, this is the perfect staple for women of all different fashion styles! A pair of denim and a shoulder cut-out top. First, pick your top; we have a variety of shoulder cut-outs available. These are great because you get that off the shoulder trend, but can still wear a bra. Cause let’s face it, we need a damn bra while we're pregnant!  Next pick your denim; do you want dark, washed out? What brand? Ripe, Paige, Serpahine, Noppies? You choose! Put the two together and the rest is in your own home. Wear a bootie, maybe a knee high, or a cute ankle boot (my personal pick), or rock your vintage army boots like we have shown in this photo. Make it your own!

In addition, we had to also show off the Paige denim with the Tilly Brenton Nursing Jumper by Seraphine (also good for breast-feeding WOO)!

The Working Women:


Working downtown or in a formal office sometimes has some wardrobe challenges, especially while pregnant.  In addition to all the dress pants we have, we also have some seriously cute fall dresses! This Sasika maternity dress is great for the office or holiday function. Its already been a best seller!  The knot detail makes for a flattering fit, and this dress could even be paired with some opaque tights on a colder day (we recommend Ripe 70 den tights). 
Alternatively, turtle neck dresses are super-hot this Fall, and we are loving the Charlotte Rib Knit Dress.  Long length, great flattering fabric, and can easily be worn alone, with a blazer, or even a leather jacket if you are going out for dinner.

The Nursing Mom:

In and out of the house with a new babe, and maybe a little toddler to top it off, you need to be comfortable, cute, and functional! Our Fall outfit pick is the Ripe Stripe Swing Back Nursing Top. It's one of our best seller’s, already!  It’s got a flowy top and back for flattering detail, and nursing access on both sides. Pair it with some of our best selling Blanqi Postpartum compression leggings (yes, they suck you in and help keep your core engaged, I wear ‘em all the time), and whatever you like on your feet! Could go cute with boots to dress the look up, or even something more casual on a cold day!
